Title
An ordinance to amend the St. Charles Parish Zoning Ordinance of 1981, to change the zoning classification from R-3 to R-1A on Lots G-1-A and G-1-B, Almedia Plantation Subdivision, approximately 46.5 acres in St. Rose, as requested by Rhino Enterprises, Inc.
Body
WHEREAS, the property owner requests rezoning from R-3 to R-1A and on Lots G-1-A and G-1-B, Almedia Plantation Subdivision, approximately 46.5 acres in St. Rose, as requested by Rhino Enterprises, Inc.; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Department recommended approval of the request; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval of the request at its regular meeting of September 3, 2020; and,
WHEREAS, the area to be rezoned exceeds 3 acres, necessitating a corresponding amendment to the Future Land Use Map recommendation of Moderate Density Residential to Low Density Residential.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. The Zoning Ordinance of 1981 is amended to change the zoning classification from R-3 to R-1A on Lots G-1-A and G-1-B, Almedia Plantation Subdivision, approximately 46.5 acres in St. Rose, as requested by Rhino Enterprises, Inc.
SECTION II. The Department of Planning and Zoning is authorized to amend the Official Zoning Map, St. Charles Parish, Louisiana to reflect this reclassification from R-3 to R-1A on Lots G-1-A and G-1-B, Almedia Plantation Subdivision, approximately 46.5 acres in St. Rose, as requested by Rhino Enterprises, Inc.
SECTION III. The Department of Planning and Zoning is authorized to make the corresponding change from Moderate Density Residential to Low Density Residential on the Future Land Use Map, adopted with Ordinance No. 11-6-11, amended by Ordinance No. 16-9-16.
