Title
An ordinance to amend the St. Charles Parish Code to adjust the Service Charge for Recycling Collection Services for St. Charles Parish.
Body
WHEREAS, the monthly service charge for Recycling Collection Services increased effective June 1, 1997, from $1.77 per month to $1.82 per month, effective January 1, 2000 from $1.82 per month to $1.87 per month; and,
WHEREAS, the recycling fee has not been adjusted since June 1, 1996; and,
WHEREAS, in order to cover the cost of the recycling program, a ten cents ($.10) adjustment is necessary.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Chapter 10, Article IV, Section 10-47.(1) of the St. Charles Parish Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"(1) A monthly service charge of one dollar and eighty-seven cents ($1.87) per month is hereby established and levied for each unit within the Parish, as defined in the Parish's Recycling Contract, effective December 1, 2004."
