A resolution requesting the assistance and support of the Louisiana Congressional Delegation on priority projects for St. Charles Parish.
Body
WHEREAS, the Parish Council firmly believes the following listed issues are priority projects which will benefit all of the citizens of St. Charles Parish:
I. Continue Permitting/Construction - West Bank Hurricane Protection Levee - Phases II & III
II. Funding/Construction - East Bank Hurricane Protection Levee and Pumps
III. Internal Drainage:
Feasibility Study and SELA Funding
IV. Restate Parishes Position of Opposition to Airport Expansion into St. Charles Parish
V. Funding - Luling Oxidation Pond/Continued Wastewater Regionalization
VI. Railroad Crossings and Insurance
VII. Community Services
VIII. Funding - GIS
WHEREAS, the Parish Council is requesting our Congressional Delegation assist in promoting and/or funding these projects.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby request the assistance and support of the Louisiana Congressional Delegation on priority projects for St. Charles Parish.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution and attached correspondence be distributed to Senator John Breaux, Senator Mary Landrieu, Representative Billy Tauzin, Representative David Vitter, and members of their Staff.
