Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of a contract with ARC Mechanical Contractors, Inc., for St. Charles Parish Courthouse AHU-5 HVAC System Replacement, (Project No. GB-AC-0220), in the amount of $824,000.00.
Body
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received by St. Charles Parish on March 22, 2021, for St. Charles Parish Courthouse AHU-5 HVAC System Replacement, (Project No. GB-AC-0220); and,
WHEREAS, Huseman & Associates, LLC., has reviewed the bids and recommends that the contract be awarded to the low bidder, ARC Mechanical Contractors, Inc., in the amount of $824,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, the construction of this project will replace HVAC equipment that has exceeded the industries recommended useful life of 20 years, and the existing HVAC pneumatic controls system infrastructure is failing and needs to be replaced.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the bid of ARC Mechanical Contractors, Inc. for the construction of St. Charles Parish Courthouse AHU-5 HVAC System Replacement, (Project No. GB-AC-0220), is hereby approved and accepted in the amount of $824,000.00.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
SECTION III. A final Notice of Contract shall be printed and filed in place of the contract documents with the St. Charles Parish Clerk of Court and in the records of the St. Charles Parish Council.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote; the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this day of , 2021, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
