IN MEMORIAM
WHEREAS, on June 2, 2026, Almighty God, in His Infinite Wisdom, saw fit to call from amongst us one of His most worthy servants, Raymond Hicks; and,
WHEREAS, Raymond was born to the parents of the late James Hicks, Sr., and Cora Lee Hicks and was a resident of Waggaman, LA. He lived a devoted life as a husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Raymond is survived by his loving wife, Karen Hicks, his children, Casey Viney, Devin Vining, and Corin Johnson, Sr., and his grandchildren; and,
WHEREAS, Raymond was a hardworking and dependable man who dedicated almost three years of his life as an employee of St. Charles Parish. Raymond served as a Distribution Maintenance Tech with the Department of Waterworks; and,
WHEREAS, Raymond was one of the kindest individuals whose warm personality touched everyone he met. He will be remembered for his positive words and gentle smile; and,
WHEREAS, on behalf of all citizens of St. Charles Parish, the Parish Council, and the Parish President we proudly posthumously honor Raymond Hicks for his exceptional service to our parish and his legacy lives on in the hearts of his wife, children, parents, siblings, nieces, nephews, and all who were blessed to know him.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, WE THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, duly assembled on this 24th day of August 2026, do hereby express our sincere sympathy to the family of
RAYMOND HICKS
DECEMBER 21, 1965 - JUNE 2, 2026
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a page in the Official Minute Book of the St. Charles Parish Council be set aside to record this Memoriam and when this Meeting is adjourned, it shall be done in memory of RAYMOND HICKS.
