IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, the St. Rose Volunteer Fire Department is committed to providing a superior level of emergency service that continually improves the quality of life, health, and safety of the people they serve; and,
WHEREAS, the St. Rose Volunteer Fire Department has a history of committed members who have served the St. Rose area for the last 36 years; and,
WHEREAS, those who have put on the badge have taken on the responsibility of protecting the homes, properties, and lives of the residents of St. Rose; and,
WHEREAS, there are a select few who are in it truly for the long haul; sacrificing time away from their families and jobs to help people they have never met before; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Conrad Hymel is a resident of St. Charles Parish residing in St. Rose, Louisiana with his wife Betty; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Hymel joined the St. Rose Volunteer Fire Department as a charter member in 1977 and served as Fire Chief from 1978-1979, and also on the Board of Directors; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Hymel has dedicated 35 years to the St. Rose Volunteer Fire Department, earning him the title of Lifetime Member. He is one of many who serve their community and are dedicated to the safety and well-being of the citizens of St. Rose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to

ST. ROSE VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT
