IN RECOGNITION

WHEREAS, Fay Caire is a resident of St. Charles Parish residing in Luling, Louisiana with her husband Tommy and their children, Becky and Matthew; and,
WHEREAS, Fay is the daughter of the late Lloyd, Jr. and Fay Brown Landry of Luling; and,
WHEREAS, Fay graduated from Hahnville High School in 1971 and earned an Associate Degree in Office Administration from Nicholls State University in 1973; and,
WHEREAS, in 1986, Fay began working at JTPA as a Secretary, but before long earned the spot of Director; and,
WHEREAS, in 1994 Fay assumed her current position as Executive Director of Retired and Senior Volunteer Program; and,
WHEREAS, RSVP is a federally legislated grant program under the Corporation for National and Community Service, which is the federal domestic agency for volunteerism in Washington, D.C.; and,
WHEREAS, Fay has been honored for her endless efforts at coordinating more than 800 senior citizens in performing more than 127,000 hours of service at 66 sites, plus special events; and,
WHEREAS, Fay's other community activities include the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life, the Workforce Investment Board, United Way of St. Charles as a campaign coordinator, and delivering food baskets for the needy at Thanksgiving and Christmas; and,
WHEREAS, Fay has been named the St. Charles Rotary Club's Citizen of the Year, and also made a Paul Harris Fellow, with $1000 donated in her name to Rotary-funded projects.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
