IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, the St. Rose Volunteer Fire Department is committed to providing a superior level of emergency service that continually improves the quality of life, health, and safety of the people they serve; and,
WHEREAS, the St. Rose Volunteer Fire Department has a history of committed members who have served the St. Rose area for the last 36 years; and,
WHEREAS, those who have put on the badge have taken on the responsibility of protecting the homes, properties, and lives of the residents of St. Rose; and,
WHEREAS, there are a select few who are in it truly for the long haul; sacrificing time away from their families and jobs to help people they have never met before; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Doyle Veneralla a past resident of St. Rose, Louisiana, in St. Charles Parish, now resides outside of Houston, Texas with his wife Joy; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Veneralla joined the St. Rose Volunteer Fire Department in 1978 and served as Fire Chief from 1991-1992, and from 1999-2000; and,
WHEREAS, in 1985, Mr. Veneralla was voted to be Firefighter of the Year by his fellow members; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Veneralla is currently the training Chief for Cy-Fair Volunteer Fire Department in Harris County, Texas and he dedicated 35 years to the St. Rose Volunteer Fire Department, earning him the title of Lifetime Member.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
