Title
A resolution requesting that the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development expedite construction of the St. Charles Parish West Bank Multi-Use Path Project.
Body
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Westbank Multi-Use Path, State Project No. 744-45-0007, was approved by the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development on December 23, 2003; and,
WHEREAS, the completed plans for said Project were sent to the Department of Transportation and Development on February 11, 2005, and again submitted on July 31, 2007; and,
WHEREAS, this project is awaiting bidding by the Department of Transportation and Development; and,
WHEREAS, the citizens of St. Charles Parish have anxiously awaited this Project for several years.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby request that the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advertise the St. Charles Parish Westbank Multi-Use Path for bids as soon as possible.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to Governor Kathleen Babineaux-Blanco, Senator Joel T. Chaisson, II, Representative Gary L. Smith and the Department of Transportation and Development Secretary Johnny B. Bradberry.

And the resolution was declared adopted this day of , 2007, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
