IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Shawn Palmisano is a resident of St. Charles Parish residing in New Sarpy, Louisiana with her children, Felix, Lacie, and Lexi; and,
WHEREAS, Shawn is a fulltime employee as an Animal Control Officer with St. Charles Parish; and,
WHEREAS, in addition to her regular job duties, Shawn assists the Animal Shelters' Veterinarian with mirco-chipping, examinations and recommendations on euthanasiation of animals as well as serves as a Reserve Sheriff's Deputy; and,
WHEREAS, Shawn heads up the Pit Bull Department at the Animal Shelter, assisting law enforcement on several high profile dog fighting cases that has led to many convictions. She is efficient in gathering evidence on the scene and in the shelter to guarantee the safety of all the animals. She works on her off duty time on many cases literally saving the lives of several animals around the Parish; and,
WHEREAS, Shawn is a caring, dedicated person in her profession. Her work ethics and dedication goes beyond the normal call of duty, she is a true animal lover.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
