Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of Change Order No. One (1) for Parish Project No. P030603 Hackberry Drainage Pump Station to increase the original contract amount by $27,786.83 and to increase the original contract time by 5 calendar days.
Body
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 04-2-3 adopted February 2, 2004 by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of a contract with B&K Construction Co., Inc., for the construction of Hackberry Drainage Pump Station in the amount of $702,507.71; and,
WHEREAS, revisions to the design were required to reorient the pump station within St. Charles Parish right-of-way; and,
WHEREAS, the price of steel increased drastically between the Notice of Award and the Notice to Proceed for the project; and,
WHEREAS, due to these changes additional contract time and additional construction materials are required.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS,
SECTION I. That Change Order No. One (1) to the contract for Parish Project No. P030603 Hackberry Drainage Pump Station to increase the original contract amount by $27,786.83 and to increase the original contract time by 5 calendar days is hereby approved.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Change Order.
