Title
An ordinance to amend the Code of Ordinances of St. Charles Parish, to revise Chapter 15, Section 15-9, to provide an exception to the Twenty-five (25) Miles Per Hour Speed Limit, to lower the speed limit on Oaklawn Ridge Drive, St. Rose to Fifteen (15) Miles Per Hour.
Body
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Paragraph (a) of Section 15-9 of the Code provides that it is unlawful to operate any motor vehicle at a speed in excess of twenty-five (25) miles per hour on Parish streets.
SECTION II. That Paragraph (a) of Section 15-9 has been amended to provide exceptions.
SECTION III. That the Parish Council desires to provide an exception to lower the speed limit allowed on Oaklawn Ridge Drive in St. Rose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby amend Section 15-9 of the Traffic Code to add No. 37 as follows:
"(a) It shall be unlawful for any person to operate any motor vehicle at a speed in excess of twenty-five (25) miles per hour on any of the Parish streets, roads, highways and bridges,
EXCEPT:
(37) OAKLAWN RIDGE DRIVE, ST. ROSE, speed limit shall be FIFTEEN (15) miles per hour"
