IN   RECOGNITION
 
WHEREAS,      Hunter Sims, a resident of Luling, Louisiana in St. Charles Parish, is a graduating Senior at Hahnville High School; and,
WHEREAS,      Hunter has excelled in academics and is the Hahnville High School Valedictorian for the graduating class of 2003; and,
WHEREAS,      Hunter during his years at Hahnville was a member of the Beta Club, National Honor Society, Science Olympiad, Captain of the Quizbowl Team, and was a National Merit Finalist; and,
WHEREAS,      Hunter placed second in the District Literary Rally, and placed first overall in the State Literary Rally in English IV; and,
WHEREAS,      Hunter played guitar in the Church Youth Praise Band; and,
WHEREAS,      Hunter will be attending Tulane University on a full scholarship, pursuing a degree in Physics where he plans to one day earn a PhD in Physics and become a college professor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to

 hospitality, rural living and sporting
