IN   RECOGNITION
 
WHEREAS,      Michelle Bourgeois is a resident of St. Charles Parish residing in Luling, Louisiana with her parents Gene and Lisa Bourgeois and her brother Michael; and,
WHEREAS,      Michelle is currently a Senior at Hahnville High School and to help increase community pride, has chosen to renovate the Willowridge Subdivision sign as her mandated senior project; and,
WHEREAS,      the area had become run down and overgrown with weeds and small trees so Michelle sought to utilize her interest in Horticulture to renovate it; and,
WHEREAS,      Michelle began her project by researching landscape architecture and excavating all of the plants and their stumps.  St. Charles Parish helped with the replacement and installation of the sign itself which was rotten and in disrepair; and,
WHEREAS,      Michelle solicited the support of various local companies and individuals who donated money to fund the purchase of new plants, dirt, mulch, and fertilizer and she has worked closely with her chosen mentor Jennifer Osburn of Martin's Nursery and Councilman Shelley Tastet; and,
WHEREAS,      the area is now replanted and welcomes visitors and residents to the neighborhood.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby thank and recognize
MICHELLE BOURGEOIS
FOR HER DEDICATION AND COMMITMENT TO
ST. CHARLES PARISH
