Title

An ordinance to accept and ratify NOAA Award No. NA17OZ158, from the United States Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), through the Coastal Impact Assistance Program (CIAP) in the amount of $289,211.

Body

WHEREAS,      St. Charles Parish has designated as an eligible parish for Coastal Impact Assistance Program project funding; and,

WHEREAS,      St. Charles Parish has submitted a 12,000 foot rock breakwater, designated as Lake Salvador Shoreline Protection Phase III; and,

WHEREAS,      the Lake Salvador Shoreline Protection Phase III has been accepted for funding under the CIAP program.

THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:

      SECTION I.      NOAA Award  No. NA17OZ158) in the amount of $289,211 is accepted and ratified.
