Title
An ordinance to amend the St. Charles Parish Code of Ordinance of 1981; Appendix A Section VI. Zoning district criteria and regulations to allow Bingo Halls, Video Bingo Parlors, and Off-Track Betting Establishments in C-2 and C-3 zones as a Special Permit Use and require an ordinance of the Council.
Body
WHEREAS, the Parish Code, under Appendix A, St. Charles Parish Zoning Ordinance of 1981, as amended, does not state specific Zoning Districts for the permitting of Bingo Halls, Video Bingo Parlors, or Off-Track Betting Establishments; and,
WHEREAS, currently Bingo Halls, Video Bingo Parlors, Off-Track Betting Establishment are currently permitted as "commercial recreation facilities" in the C-2 Zoning District; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parish Council to individually consider Bingo Halls, Video Bingo Parlors, and Off-Track Betting Establishments because of their potential intensive land use.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the St. Charles Parish Code, Appendix A, Section VI.C.[III.]1.c. is hereby amended under C-2, "Special permit uses and structures" to add the following:
(9) Bingo Halls, Video Bingo Parlors, and Off-Track Betting Establishments upon review of the Planning Commission and Ordinance of the St. Charles Parish Council.
SECTION II. That the St. Charles Parish Code, Appendix A, Section VI.C.[IV.]1.c. is hereby amended under C-3, "Special permit uses and structures" to add the following:
(9) Bingo Halls, Video Bingo Parlors, and Off-Track Betting Establishments upon review of the Planning Commission and Ordinance of the Parish Council.
