RESOLUTION NO.
Title
A resolution adopting the amended St. Charles Parish Citizen Participation Plan for implementation in the participation of all Louisiana Community Development Block Grant (LCDBG) Programs for the Parish.
Body
WHEREAS, participation in the LCDBG Program requires the St. Charles Parish Council to adopt a plan to meet citizen participation requirements of Section 508 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended; and,
WHEREAS, on July 22, 2002, Resolution No. 5038 regarding the St. Charles Parish Citizen Participation Plan for all LCDBG Programs was adopted by the St. Charles Parish Council; and,
WHEREAS, verbiage within the sample LCDBG Citizen Participation Plan has since changed; and,
WHEREAS, the Grants Office is responsible for the LCDBG Program and, therefore, internal procedures for processing citizen complaints has changed roles from the Chief Administrative Officer to the Grants Officer; and,
WHEREAS, the Section 6 of the original Citizen Participation Plan allows for the plan to be amended by a majority vote at any of the St. Charles Parish Council regularly scheduled meetings; and,
WHEREAS, the Parish Council's adoption of the amended plan is respectfully requested.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby officially adopt the amended St. Charles Parish Citizen Participation Plan, attached hereto and made a part hereof, for usage in the administration and implementation of all St. Charles Parish LCDBG Programs.
The foregoing resolution having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
