IN   RECOGNITION
 
WHEREAS,      Patrick Wayne Jewell is a resident of St. Charles Parish residing in Luling, Louisiana with his parents John and Mary Jewell and his brother Matthew; and,
WHEREAS,      Patrick is an Assistant Scout Master and Member of Troop 41, chartered by Holy Family Catholic Church; and,
WHEREAS,      Patrick has spent the last 11 years as an active Member of the Scouts spending the last 7 years preparing to become an EAGLE SCOUT; and,
WHEREAS,      Patrick has earned his 12 required merit badges and 15 elective badges from a list of 128 badges and completed his Eagle Scout Service Project by designing and landscaping the Prayer Garden at Holy Family Catholic Church; and,
WHEREAS,      Patrick earned these 27 required badges by showing leadership ability as Senior Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, Quartermaster, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, and numerous other leadership roles; and,
WHEREAS,      Patrick rose to the rank of EAGLE SCOUT on March 23, 2004, and received his medal in a ceremony on June 13, 2004, at Holy Family Catholic Church; and,
WHEREAS,      Patrick will continue to grow as an EAGLE SCOUT in his leadership abilities as Assistant Scout Master of Troop 41 at Holy Family Catholic Church.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
PATRICK WAYNE JEWELL
