Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of an Act of Donation by the Des Allemands Volunteer Fire Department for certain property located at 16970 U.S. Highway 90 in Des Allemands.
Body
WHEREAS, the Des Allemands Volunteer Fire Department acquired a certain parcel of property by a Donation and Acceptance from Texaco Exploration and Production, Inc. filed as Entry No. 248113, Conveyance Book 516, Folio 542 on October 20, 2000, in the St. Charles Parish Clerk of Court's Office; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Des Allemands Volunteer Fire Department to donate said property to St. Charles Parish to be resubdivided with the property of the existing firehouse at 16960 U.S. Highway 90 into one lot and leased back to the Fire Department.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Act of Donation by the Des Allemands Volunteer Fire Department for property located at 16970 U.S. Highway 90, Des Allemands to St. Charles Parish is hereby approved.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Act of Donation on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
