Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of Change Order No. 1 for Parish Project No S030101 Killona Force Main Extension to decrease the contract amount by $112,985.00 and increase the number of days by 160.
Body
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 17-3-4 adopted March 20, 2017, by the St. Charles Parish Council awarded construction of Parish Project No S030101 Killona Force Main Extension to Sealevel Construction, Inc.; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the contract to adjust the contract quantities with actual quantities resulting in a decrease to the contract amount by $112,985.00; and,
WHEREAS, it is also necessary to increase the amount of contract time by 160 days due to the six months, plus, of higher than expected rainfall inundating the job site, preventing Sealevel Construction, Inc. from performing the work required.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Change Order No. 1 for Parish Project No S030101 Killona Force Main Extension to decrease the contract amount by $112,985.00 and increase the number of days by 160 is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Change Order on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
SECTION III. St Charles Parish considers the project complete and hereby accepts all improvements.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
