Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a Contract with ARC Mechanical Contractors, Inc., for the SCP Courthouse AHU-2 & AHU-4 HVAC System replacement located at 15045 River Road, Hahnville, LA., in the amount of $1,420,500.00.
Body
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received by St. Charles Parish on September 10, 2019, for the SCP Courthouse AHU-2 & AHU-4 HVAC System replacement located at 15045 River Road, Hahnville LA; and,
WHEREAS, Huseman & Associates, the Engineer for the project, has reviewed the bids and recommended that the project be awarded to the low bidder, ARC Mechanical Contractors, Inc., in the amount of $1,420,500.00; and,
WHEREAS, the construction of this project will replace HVAC equipment that exceeded the industry's recommended useful life of 20 years, and the existing HVAC pneumatic controls system infrastructure is failing and needs to be replaced.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the bid of ARC Mechanical Contractors, Inc., for the SCP Courthouse AHU-2 & AHU-4 HVAC System replacement is hereby approved and accepted in the amount of $1,420,500.00.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Contract on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
SECTION lll. A final Notice of Contract shall be printed and filed in place of the contract documents with the St. Charles Parish Clerk of Court and in the records of the St. Charles Parish Council.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this day of , 2019, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
