A resolution requesting Senator Gary L. Smith, Jr. and/or Representative Gregory A. Miller to enact a bill or bills in the 2015 Legislative Session to amend any Louisiana Revised Statute as may be needed to provide for once per year notification to violators of grass cutting ordinances.

WHEREAS, the repetitive grass violations by the same individual/property owner is a constant occurrence in the parish resulting in the violation process having to start over each occurrence; and,
WHEREAS, it is requested that a bill or bills be put forth as needed, amend the applicable revised statute needed to allow a single notice to owners regarding tall grass violations to cover all future violations on the same property in the same calendar year such as the provision which appears to exist in R.S. 33:5062.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby request that Senator Gary L. Smith, Jr. and/or Representative Gregory A. Miller enact a bill in the 2015 Legislative Session to amend any Louisiana Revised Statute as may be needed to provide for once per year notification to violators of grass cutting ordinances.
The foregoing resolution having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
