IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Carly Ann Fricken, is a resident of St. Charles Parish residing in Luling, Louisiana with her parents David and Connie and her big brother Branden; and,
WHEREAS, Carly is a 1st Grade Student at Mimosa Park Elementary and she enjoys dancing and tumbling; and,
WHEREAS, the weekend of July 4, 2009, Carly competed in the Louisiana State Pageant in Lafayette, Louisiana, winning the title of "Louisiana Cover Girl Princess" earning her a spot to compete on the National Level, in Anaheim, California; and,
WHEREAS, Carly competed against forty-nine girls in the National Pageant on November 27, 2009, where she became the first to bring the crown and the National All-American Miss Princess Title home to Louisiana; and,
WHEREAS, Carly is required to do fifteen hours of community involvement and has already helped the Down Syndrome Association of Greater New Orleans with their Annual Buddy Walk which raised money for children with Down Syndrome and their families; and,
WHEREAS, Carly is invited to attend the Miss America Pageant in Las Vegas in January 2010; and,
WHEREAS, Carly will travel in the summer to State Pageants across the United States and in November 2010 she will Crown the new National All-American Miss Princess in California.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
