ORDINANCE NO.
Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a Contract by and between Three Ridge Farms, LLC and the Parish of St. Charles in the amount of $1,442,500.00 for wetlands mitigation for the West Bank Hurricane Protection Levee Phase II - Willowridge.
Body
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish has undertaken the construction of the West Bank Hurricane Protection Levee Project, Phase II - Willowridge for providing comprehensive flood protection to protect the lives and property of the citizens of the West Bank of St. Charles Parish; and,
WHEREAS, in order to fulfill the wetlands permitting requirements it is necessary to mitigate 48 acres of bottomland hardwood forest and 9.7 acres of bald cypress swamp at the Upper Bayou Folse Mitigation Area located in Lafourche Parish in the amount of $1,442,500.00; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parish Council approve said Contract to comply with the requirements of U. S. Army Corp of Engineers Permit No. MVN-2004-02101-ETT and Louisiana Dept. of Natural Resources Coastal Use Permit No. P20091182.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Contract by and between Three Ridge Farms, LLC and the Parish of St. Charles in the amount of $1,442,500.00 is hereby approved.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Contract on behalf of the Parish of St. Charles.
