IN RECOGNITION
 
WHEREAS, Strother Lee Sacra, Jr. is a resident of St. Charles Parish residing in Luling, Louisiana; and,
WHEREAS, Strother is a Jr. Assistant Scout Master and Member of Troop 370, chartered by St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church; and,
WHEREAS, Strother has spent the last 11 years as an active Member of the Scouts spending the last 7 years preparing to become an EAGLE SCOUT; and,
WHEREAS, Strother has earned his 12 required merit badges and 15 elective badges from a list of 128 badges and completed his Eagle Scout Service Project by remodeling two ladies restroom facilities at The Brantley Center Homeless Shelter in New Orleans; and,
WHEREAS, Strother earned these 27 required badges by showing leadership ability as senior patrol leader, patrol leader, quartermaster, assistant senior patrol leader and numerous other leadership roles; and,
WHEREAS, Strother rose to the rank of EAGLE SCOUT in September 2001 and received his medal in a ceremony on September 9, 2001, at the West St. Charles Baptist Church; and,
WHEREAS, Strother can continue to grow as an EAGLE SCOUT earning additional badges, called eagle palms in gold, silver and bronze, comprised of 5 merit badges by showing spirit and satisfactory development in demonstrating leadership abilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
STROTHER LEE SACRA, JR.
