IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Edward Earl Reed, Jr., is a native of St. Rose, Louisiana in St. Charles Parish; and,
WHEREAS, Ed Reed, is a 1997 graduate of Destrehan High School, played college football for the University of Miami, and was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the 1st round of the 2002 NFL Draft, played 11 seasons with the Ravens before signing with the Houston Texans in 2013; and,
WHEREAS, on February 3, 2013, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, Ed Reed earned his first Super Bowl ring when the Ravens defeated the San Francisco 49ers 34-31 in Super Bowl XLVII.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
EDWARD EARL REED, JR.
