IN   RECOGNITION
 
WHEREAS,      On August 27, 2005 St. Charles Parish was under a mandatory evacuation order due to the possible threat of Hurricane Katrina; and,
 
WHEREAS,      On August 29, 2005 St. Charles Parish was hit by the affects of Hurricane Katrina; and,
 
WHEREAS,      The individuals listed below gave selflessly of their time and energy to help protect our lives; and,
 
WHEREAS,      We would like to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Evacuation Team for their countless hours of hard work and dedication.
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to all those responsible for aiding and protecting the citizens of St. Charles Parish
