IN   RECOGNITION
 
WHEREAS,      Adam Stephen Champagne is a resident of St. Charles Parish residing in Luling, Louisiana with his parents Brian and Amanda Champagne, and his sisters Brittani and Evan; brothers Seth, Kaleb, and Quinn; and,
WHEREAS,      Adam is a Member of Troop 370, chartered by St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Luling; he started his Scouting career in September 1999; and,
WHEREAS,      Adam has spent the last 11 years as an active member of the Scouts spending the last 7 years preparing to become an EAGLE SCOUT; and,
WHEREAS,      Adam has earned his 29 merit badges from a list of 126 badges and completed his Eagle Scout Service Project by restoring support posts for the covered walkway at Luling United Methodist Church.  His project was accomplished on August 2010; and,
WHEREAS,      Adam earned these 29 badges by showing leadership ability as Senior Patrol Leader, Scribe, Assistant Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, Quartermaster, Troop Guide, and Junior Assistant Scoutmaster; and,
WHEREAS,      Adam rose to the rank of EAGLE SCOUT on November 11, 2010, and received his medal in a ceremony on January 23, 2011, at the St. Anthony of Padua Community Activity Building in Luling; and,
WHEREAS,      Adam is a Senior at Hahnville High School and will continue to grow as an EAGLE SCOUT by providing leadership as an Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 370.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
ADAM STEPHEN CHAMPAGNE
