Title
A resolution providing mandatory supporting authorization for a Special Permit to locate a Correctional Facility in an MS Zoning District as outlined in Planning & Zoning Commission Case PZSPU-99-08.
Body
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Subdivision Regulations of 1981 (as amended) requires both Planning & Zoning Commission approval and a supporting resolution of the Parish Council for Special Permits to allow Correctional Facilities in an MS Zoning District; and,
WHEREAS, the applicant, Sheriff Greg Champagne has presented plan to locate a 91,077 square foot Correctional Facility on a 62.35 acre tract on LA 3127 in Killona, LA, and,
WHEREAS, the proposed Special Permit has received approval from the St. Charles Parish Planning and Zoning Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, does hereby provide mandatory supporting authorization for a Special Permit to locate a Correctional Facility in an MS Zoning District as outlined in Planning & Zoning Commission Case PZSPU-99-08.
