RESOLUTION NO.                   
Title
A resolution in support of the St. Charles Parish West Bank Bicycle and Pedestrian Path Project, Phase III.
Body
WHEREAS,      the St. Charles Parish Council adopted Ordinance No. 97-10-8 on October 20, 1997, which provided for the design of a Bicycle Transportation Route on the Mississippi River Levees in St. Charles Parish; and,
WHEREAS,      an application is being submitted by the South Central Planning and Development Commission, on behalf of St. Charles Parish, for continued funding of the West Bank Bicycle and Pedestrian Path Project to extend it from Luling to Ama; and,
WHEREAS,      the project requires that the Parish provide matching funds as the local sponsor; and,
WHEREAS,      it is the desire of the Parish Council to support said project as the local sponsor.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby certify full responsibility for the required local match (95% / 5% option), for managing and maintaining the project, construction management, non-eligible items and any legal liability incurred as a result of the project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the total project cost is expected to be $456,000.00 and said local match shall not exceed $22,800.00.
