ORDINANCE NO.    11-11-6       

Title

An ordinance to install three (3) sets of raised rumble strips on Luling Estates Drive.

Body

WHEREAS,      raised rumble strips are used to increase drivers awareness and attention and encourages drivers to slow down; and,

WHEREAS,      studies indicate that raised rumble strips decrease accident rates and save lives; and,

WHEREAS,      raised rumble strips are most effective when used in conjunction with other traffic devices.

THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:

      SECTION I.      Install three (3) sets of raised rumble strips on Luling Estates Drive, from road edge to road edge, with the first set of strips installed 200 feet onto Luling Estates Drive from the intersection of Estate Drive, the second set of strips installed at the half way point of the Street, and the third set installed 200 feet from the intersection of Hackberry Street, taking into consideration exact locations of driveways.

      The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:

YEAS:            SCHEXNAYDRE, AUTHEMENT, RAYMOND, BENEDETTO, HOGAN, COCHRAN, LAMBERT, NUSS

NAYS:      NONE

ABSENT:      TASTET

      And the ordinance was declared adopted this    7^th     day of    November     2011 to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
