Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a construction contract with Baker Pile Driving & Site Work, LLC for Dunleith Bank Stabilization - Phase VIII, in the amount of $1,596,197.00 (Parish Project No. P081102-9).
Body
WHEREAS, the Dunleith Bank Stabilization - Phase VIII Project will provide sheet pile and associated work to stabilize a section of the west bank of the Dunleith Canal in the area south of Destrehan Pump Station No. 1; and,
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received by St. Charles Parish on August 20, 2019 for Dunleith Bank Stabilization - Phase VIII Project; and,
WHEREAS, Evans-Graves Engineers, Inc., Stephen Lundgren, P.E., the Consulting Engineer for the Project, has reviewed the bids and recommended that the Contract be awarded to the lowest responsive bidder, Baker Pile Driving & Site Work, LLC, in the amount of $1,596,197.00.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the bid of Baker Pile Driving & Site Work, LLC for the construction of Dunleith Bank Stabilization - Phase VIII be hereby approved and accepted, in the amount of $1,596,197.00.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said contract documents on behalf of the Parish of St. Charles.
SECTION III. A final Notice of Contract shall be printed and filed in place of the contract documents with the St. Charles Parish Clerk of Court and in the records of the St. Charles Parish Council.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this ______ day of ___________, 2019 to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
