Title

A resolution in support of the Planning and Zoning Commission approval of 2026-1-SPU for Automobile Fleet Services in a C-3 zoning district on Lot B2, Almedia Plantation, 150 Almedia Plantation Road, St. Rose, specifically a waiver from Appendix A., Section VIII., item I.3.a., as requested by GM Elite Co.

Body

WHEREAS,                     the St. Charles Parish Zoning Ordinance of 1981, Section IV. - General Provisions, item 9.B.4.a., requires that the Parish Council endorse waivers for Special Permit Uses; and,

WHEREAS,                     GM Elite Co. requests a Special Permit Use for Automobile Fleet Services in a C-3 zoning district; and,

WHEREAS,                     the submitted plans, specifically Sheet LS 1.0 dated January 5, 2025, does not meet Appendix A., Section VIII., item I.3.a., requiring a minimum of ten (10) percent of the site shall be designated for designed landscaping; and,

WHEREAS,                     the Planning and Zoning Department recommended approval of the request; and,

WHEREAS,                     the Planning and Zoning Commission approved the Special Permit Use with the waiver at its meeting on February 5, 2026.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, hereby provides this supporting authorization to endorse a waiver to allow a reduction of the required minimum landscaping as shown on a the submitted plans, specifically Sheet LS 1.0 dated January 5, 2025, as requested by GM Elite Co.
