ORDINANCE NO.
Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of an engineering services agreement with N-Y Associates, Inc. for providing all necessary services for the Carriage/Dunlieth Canals Drainage Structure (P200706).
Body
WHEREAS, the Ormond area south of the CN Railroad is especially flood prone; and,
WHEREAS, the Carriage Canal discharges into the Dunleith Canal at an angle that creates turbulence; and,
WHEREAS, the proposed drainage structure for this project will decrease the turbulence and lower the water elevations in the Ormond drainage system; and,
WHEREAS, the attached Agreement between St. Charles Parish and N-Y Associates, Inc. describes the details of the proposed services and compensation.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Engineering Services Agreement between St. Charles Parish and N-Y Associates, Inc. for services as required by the Department of Public Works is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the Parish of St. Charles.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this day of , 2020, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
