IN   RECOGNITION
WHEREAS,      Sandy Legendre is a resident of St Charles Parish residing in Luling, Louisiana and is the daughter of O.J. and Opal Legendre; and,
WHEREAS,      Sandy enjoys spending time with her family and friends and volunteering for multiple charities and organizations; and,
WHEREAS,      Sandy was chosen and crowned Ambassador Queen II at the second annual St. Charles Parish Relay for Life Pageant held Saturday, January 24, 2015, at the Paradis Volunteer Fire Department in Paradis, Louisiana; and,
WHEREAS,      Sandy has been a team captain of a family and friends team for the St. Charles Parish Relay for Life for 14 years and as a 2X Bladder Cancer Survivor, she proudly represents the St. Charles Relay for Life as the Ambassador Queen II at fairs, festivals, charitable pageants, and events throughout the state; and,
WHEREAS,      Relay for Life is the American Cancer Society's signature activity uniting communities to celebrate cancer survivors, remember people who lost their battle to the disease, and honor those still fighting while raising awareness and funds for the fight against cancer.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
SANDY LEGENDRE
ST. CHARLES PARISH RELAY FOR LIFE AMBASSADOR QUEEN II
