IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Lynleigh Angelle Landry is a resident of St. Charles Parish residing in Norco, Louisiana with her parents Michael and Doreen Landry and her older sister Karleigh; and,
WHEREAS, Lynleigh is a 2010 graduate of Sacred Heart of Jesus School in Norco, where she was an Honor Roll Student, Student Council Vice-President, a member of the Beta Club, volleyball team, and basketball team. She participated in Beta District Day and placed first in the Banner competition and third in the Public Speaking competition; she received first place in the Parish Social Studies Fair and Science Fair; and,
WHEREAS, Lynleigh is a Freshman at St. Charles Catholic High School with a 3.9 GPA, where she is 9th Grade Student Council Representative and a member of the swim team; and,
WHEREAS, after graduating High School, Lynleigh plans to attend Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge to pursue a degree in the medical field to help others; and,
WHEREAS, Lynleigh has been swimming since she was 2 years old. At 2 ½ years old, she joined the swim team making her the youngest swim team member where she swam 25 yards without holding on to the rope. She also enjoys cheering, scrapbooking, and Googling; and,
WHEREAS, Lynleigh is a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church CYO, participates in the United Way of St. Charles Relay for Life, the Norco Christmas Parade, is a lector for School Masses, and participated in the March for Life in Washington, D.C.; and,
WHEREAS, on August 8, 2010, Lynleigh was crowned the 15th Teen Queen at the 52nd Annual St. Charles Parish Festival Pageant held at Destrehan High School, and was also the winner of Photogenic and People's Choice Awards; and,
WHEREAS, Lynleigh describes herself as being adventurous, determined, and personable.
