Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the sale of adjudicated properties at an absolute auction and to declare said adjudicated properties as no longer needed for a public purpose.
Body
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish continues to expend funds to maintain numerous adjudicated properties; and
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish desires to place these properties back into commerce by offering them at an absolute auction in connection with the Sale of Adjudicated Properties subject to merchantable title.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the adjudicated properties listed on the Exempt Property Assessment Roll for the Parish of St. Charles 2015, attached hereto and made a part hereof, are not needed for a public purpose and the sale of said properties at an absolute auction to the highest bidder is hereby authorized.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute any and all documents required to complete the various Acts of Sale of each adjudicated property, on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this ______ day of ___________, 2016 to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
