ORDINANCE NO.            06-9-3      

Title

An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a contract with Barriere Construction Company, LLC., for the construction of Parish Project No. P060405, Road Maintenance 2006, with Base Bid, Alternate 1, and Alternate 2 in the amount of $545,563.00.

Body

WHEREAS,      sealed bids were received by St. Charles Parish on August 10, 2006 for Road Maintenance 2006; and,

WHEREAS,      Shread-Kuyrkendall and Associates, Inc., Consulting Engineers for the Project, have reviewed the bids and recommend that the Contract be awarded to the low bidder, Barriere Construction Company, LLC., in the amount of $545,563.00.

THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION I.      That the bid of Barriere Construction Company, LLC., for the construction of St. Charles Parish Project No. P060405, Road Maintenance 2006, be hereby accepted, in the amount of $545,563.00.

SECTION II.      That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute the attached contract documents.

The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
