Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a contract with BLD Services, LLC for project P090203 Upgrade the Boutte Pump Station in the amount of $862,103.
Body
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received by St. Charles Parish on August 26, 2010 for project P090203 Upgrade the Boutte Pump Station; and,
WHEREAS, Civil & Environmental Consulting Engineers(Danny Hebert), the Engineer for the Project, has reviewed the bids and recommend that the Contract be awarded to the low bidder, BLD Services, LLC in the amount of $862,103; and,
WHEREAS, the existing station foundation and deck is failing and the existing pumps are old and beyond repair; and,
WHEREAS, this project will replace the station deck, replace both pumps with properly sized units, fence in the station and provide for a place to set an emergency generator.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the bid of BLD Services, LLC, for the construction of project P090203 Upgrade the Boutte Pump Station, be hereby approved and accepted in the amount of $862,103.00.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said contract documents on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
