ORDINANCE NO.
Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of an engineering services agreement with Mott MacDonald for providing all necessary services for the Carriage Canal Widening project (P200705).
Body
WHEREAS, the Ormond area south of the CN Railroad is especially flood prone; and,
WHEREAS, the Carriage Canal conveys stormwater to the Destrehan No. 1 and No. 2 Pump Stations; and,
WHEREAS, the proposed drainage canal widening will reduce the velocity of stormwater in the canal, which will lower the water elevations in the Ormond drainage system; and,
WHEREAS, the attached Agreement between St. Charles Parish and Mott MacDonald describes the details of the proposed services and compensation.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Engineering Services Agreement between St. Charles Parish and Mott MacDonald for services as required by the Department of Public Works is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the Parish of St. Charles.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
