IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Oneil J. Legendre, IV is a resident of St. Charles Parish residing in Destrehan, Louisiana with his parents Neil and Renee Legendre, and his sisters Courtney and Cassie; and,
WHEREAS, Oneil is a Member of Troop 317, chartered by the St. Charles United Methodist Church in Destrehan; he started his Scouting career in September 2001; and,
WHEREAS, Oneil has spent the last 11 years as an active Member of the Scouts spending the last 6 years preparing to become an EAGLE SCOUT; and,
WHEREAS, Oneil has earned his 21 required merit badges and 7 elective badges from a list of 126 badges and completed his Eagle Scout Service Project by collecting and donating used eyeglasses to the New Orleans Central City Lions Club. He collected and donated 701 pairs of eyeglasses. His project was completed in April 2012; and,
WHEREAS, Oneil earned these 21 required badges by showing leadership ability as Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, and Scribe; and,
WHEREAS, Oneil rose to the rank of EAGLE SCOUT on July 16, 2012, and will receive his medal in a ceremony on September 30, 2012, at the St. Charles United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall in Destrehan; and,
WHEREAS, Oneil is a Sophomore at Destrehan High School and will continue to grow as an EAGLE SCOUT by providing leadership to Troop 317.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
Oneil J. Legendre, IV
