IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Ryan Sidney Kornegay is a resident of St. Charles Parish residing in Luling, Louisiana with his parents David and Brook Kornegay, brother Donovan, and sister Savannah; and,
WHEREAS, Ryan is a member of Troop 370, chartered by St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Luling; he started his Scouting career in September 2003; and,
WHEREAS, Ryan has spent the last 12 years as an active member of the Scouts spending the last 3 years preparing to become an EAGLE SCOUT; and,
WHEREAS, Ryan has earned his 21 merit badges from a list of 126 badges and completed his Eagle Scout Service Project by coordinating the creation and assembly of 72 cat scratching posts for SpayMart Kitten Foster Program and distributing these to new kitten foster families with information about safer alternatives than claw removal; and,
WHEREAS, Ryan earned these 21 badges by showing leadership ability as Patrol Leader and Quartermaster; and,
WHEREAS, Ryan rose to the rank of EAGLE SCOUT on August 6, 2015, and received his medal in a ceremony on August 29, 2015, at the St. Anthony of Padua Community Activity Building in Luling; and,
WHEREAS, Ryan is a Senior at Hahnville High School and will continue to grow as an EAGLE SCOUT by providing leadership as a Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 370.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
