Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of Change Order No. 1 (Final) for the Magnolia Ridge Levee Project No. P080905-6B, Grant reference Project No. BA-0216, as part of the West Bank Hurricane Protection Levee Project, to decrease the contract amount by $26,711.47 and increase the contract time by ten (10) days.
Body
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 19-6-6 adopted June 17, 2019, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of a contract with Pontchartrain Partners, LLC for the Magnolia Ridge Levee Project No. P080905-6B, grant reference Project No. BA-0216, in the amount of $2,399,905.00; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 (Final) is a result of changes within the scope of the contract to modify quantities to accurately reflect the final balancing of project line items for the construction amount; and to add a lump sum amount of $107,747.48 for the addition of concrete mats over the pipelines as required by the pipeline companies as part of permit requirements to remove obstructions from the drainage canal; and,
WHEREAS, the decrease in contract amount by $26,711.47 is a result of a decrease in quantity for six (6) bid line items, and increase in quantity for one (1) bid line item, the addition of one (1) bid line item and the deletion of one (1) bid line item; and,
WHEREAS, the increase in contract time by ten (10) days is a result of the addition of rain days.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Change Order No. 1 (Final) for Magnolia Ridge Levee Project No. P080905-6B, Grant reference Project No. BA-0216, as part of the West Bank Hurricane Protection Levee Project, to decrease the contract amount by $26,711.47 and increase the contract time by ten (10) days is hereby approved and accepted.
