IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Colton Joel Milam Rachal, is a resident of St. Charles Parish residing in Luling, Louisiana with his parents Joel and Sheila Rachal, and his sister Courtney; and,
WHEREAS, Colton is a Member of Troop 370, chartered by St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Luling; he started his Scouting career in March 2007; and,
WHEREAS, Colton has spent the last 5 years as an active Member of the Scouts preparing to become an EAGLE SCOUT; and,
WHEREAS, Colton has earned his 21 required merit badges and 5 elective badges from a list of 126 badges and completed his Eagle Scout Service Project by remodeling the prayer garden and adding a walkway from the emergency exit of St. Anthony of Padua Church. His project was completed in May 2012; and,
WHEREAS, Colton earned these 21 required badges by showing leadership ability as Senior Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, Troop Guide, and Junior Assistant Scout Master; and,
WHEREAS, Colton rose to the rank of EAGLE SCOUT on May 24, 2012, and received his medal in a ceremony on August 12, 2012, at the St. Anthony of Padua Community Activity Building in Luling; and,
WHEREAS, Colton is a Freshman at Louisiana State University and will continue to grow as an EAGLE SCOUT by providing leadership as an Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 370.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
