Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of Change Order No. 1 for Parish Project No. S080501-6, Destrehan Regional WWTP H2S System & Secondary Wet Well to increase the contract amount by $49,869.00 and add 38 days to the contract time.
Body
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 10-12-6, adopted December 6, 2010, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of a contract with Max Foote Construction for S080501-6 Destrehan Regional WWTP H2S System & Secondary Wet Well in the amount of $1,070,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, The majority of the cost associated with this change order is due to the replacement of approximately 75 ft of severely corroded 18 in force main feeding the inlet well and relocation of the inlet feed to the new secondary wet well to avoid an electrical duct bank; and,
WHEREAS, It is necessary to amend the contract revising three items resulting in an increase to the contract amount by $49,869.00 and increasing the contract time by 38(thirty eight) days.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS,
SECTION I. To approve and authorize the execution of Change Order No. 1 for Parish Project No. S080501-6, Destrehan Regional WWTP H2S System & Secondary Wet Well to increase the contract amount by $49,869.00 and contract time by 38 days.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Change Order on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
