An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a contract with Thigpen Construction Company, Inc. for the construction of Parish Project No. P111002-10, Spillway Road Maintenance, with Bid in the amount of $410,326.70.

WHEREAS, sealed bids were received by St. Charles Parish on August 28, 2014 for Spillway Road Maintenance; and,
WHEREAS, GEC, Inc, Consulting Engineers for the Project, have reviewed the bids and recommend that the Bid of the Contract be awarded to the low bidder, Thigpen Construction Company, Inc., in the amount of $410,326.70.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the bid of Thigpen Construction Company, Inc., for the construction of St. Charles Parish Project No. P111002-10, Spillway Road Maintenance, be hereby approved and accepted, in the amount of $410,326.70.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute the said contract documents on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this ______ day of ____________, 2014, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
