IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Michael Lowry, a resident of Destrehan, Louisiana in St. Charles Parish, is a graduating Senior at Destrehan High School; and,
WHEREAS, Michael has excelled in academics and is the Destrehan High School Salutatorian for the graduating class of 2001; and,
WHEREAS, Michael during his years at Destrehan was a member of the National Honor Society, Speech Team, Literary Rally, TV Production Team and four year Letterman on the Tennis Team; and,
WHEREAS, Michael enjoys making documentaries, has filmed several weddings and made a film for the school reviewing the year 1992; and,
WHEREAS, Michael will be attending Florida State University on a scholarship in the fall pursuing a degree in Meteorology; and,
WHEREAS, Michael has credited living in Louisiana as contributing to his interest in Meteorology; and,
WHEREAS, Michael has interned at the National Weather Service in Slidell, and at WWL and WDSU.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
MICHAEL LOWRY
