Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of a Professional Services Agreement with Gresham Smith, to perform consulting work and services for the Safe Streets for All (Project No. P260701), in the amount not to exceed $249,277.59.
Body
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 6850 adopted on September 8, 2025, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of a Grant Agreement between the United States Department of Transportation’s Federal Highway Administration and St. Charles Parish for funding in the amount of $200,000.00 to be utilized for the St. Charles Parish Safe Streets and Roads for All Action Plan; and,
WHEREAS, the Safe Streets for All Action Plan will develop a parish-wide publicly available action plan that has a holistic, well-defined strategy to prevent roadway fatalities and serious injuries for all users; and,
WHEREAS, the Parish has advertised Requests for Qualifications for consultants to provide qualifications to develop the Safe Streets for All Action Plan; and,
WHEREAS, after reviewing all submittals to the Request for Qualifications, the Parish has concluded Gresham Smith is the most qualified firm to develop the Safe Streets for All Action Plan; and,
WHEREAS, the Parish and Gresham Smith have mutually agreed to develop the Action Plan for the Safe Streets for All (Project No. P260701), in the not to exceed amount of $249,277.59; and,
WHEREAS, the Professional Services Agreement between St. Charles Parish and Gresham Smith describes the details of the proposed services and compensation.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
