Title
A resolution endorsing a waiver from the St. Charles Parish Zoning Ordinance of 1981, Section VIII. Site design requirements, D. Landscaping requirements, as requested by Dirt Worx Rentals, LLC for Triple MBM Properties.
Body
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission approved a special permit for Dirt Worx Rentals, LLC to operate a business with outdoor storage of a fleet of equipment in a C-3 zoning district at 15207 Highway 90, Paradis at their October 13, 2022 meeting; and,
WHEREAS, the approval was subject to several stipulations as well as a waiver from landscaping required by Section VIII.D of the Zoning Ordinance of 1981; and,
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Zoning Ordinance of 1981 requires the Parish Council to endorse waivers from zoning regulations for special permit uses; and,
WHEREAS, Dirt Worx Rentals, LLC for Triple MBM Properties requested the waiver because much of the site is already concrete; and,
WHEREAS, a waiver from the landscaping requirements in Section VIII does not affect the buffer requirements for commercial sites in the C-3 zoning district.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE ST CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL hereby endorses a waiver from all landscape requirements listed in Zoning Ordinance, Section VIII. Site design requirements, D. Landscaping requirements, as requested by Dirt Worx Rentals, LLC for Triple MBM Properties, to approve the special permit for an equipment rental and repair business with fleet management and outdoor storage in a C- 3 zoning district, subject to stipulations required by the Planning and Zoning Commission at their regular meeting on October 13, 2022.
