IN   RECOGNITION

WHEREAS,                     Sadie Digirolamo Trosclair, a lifelong resident of St. Charles Parish, was born on January 9, 1924.  Her parents were Joseph Digirolamo and Josephine Ceravolo Digirolamo.  She was one of seven siblings, who all resided in Norco, Louisiana; and,

 

WHEREAS,                     Sadie married Sidney (Pete) Trosclair on April 27, 1946, and were blessed with one daughter, three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren; and,

 

WHEREAS,                     Sadie attended Destrehan High School where she was the first Homecoming Queen and was recognized on the 75th Anniversary of being named queen in October of 2018 at the homecoming game; and,

 

WHEREAS,                     Sadie, during her long and productive life, loves to spend time with her family and enjoys traveling, dancing, and playing cards with her siblings; and,

 

WHEREAS,                     Sadie is currently a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  She belonged to the Ladies Alter Society and was a founding member of the Norco Civic Association; and,

 

WHEREAS,                     Sadie celebrated her 100th birthday at the Destrehan Mule Barn with many family and friends.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to

 

SADIE DIGIROLAMO TROSCLAIR

ON HER

100th BIRTHDAY
